OUR AIMS
The Community Development Project will be
working in the Clacton Area to the west of Carnarvon & Oxford Road and
Walton.
The Main Aims of the project are
to:
- identify the needs of the community
by talking directly with residents
- Provide residents with information
about local services
- Develop a healthy and successful
community
- Promote equal opportunities for all
- Co-ordinate the work of local
groups/organisations in order to ensure the best service possible
is provided.
- Identify new funding possibilities
for existing and new local groups
- Support a wide range of projects,
including those committed to reducing crime and drug abuse, as well as
those promoting community safety and healthy living.
- Promote volunteer training
programme for residents.

Would you like to become more involved
in community activities?
Do you have any training needs?
Are there any courses you would like to see being put on?
Are you a member or leader of a local group which is in need of
organisational, funding or training support?
Would you like to get involved in voluntary work?
Are you interested in starting up your own activity group, project or
association?
Would you like to see more services/activities available for all including
children, disabled, older people & families in the area?
Are there any services in the community that you think are lacking or need
improvement?
Do you have any childcare needs?
Would you like to meet new people?
We may not necessarily have the immediate answer to all of these questions,
but will do our utmost to support you or point you in the right direction
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
We will be planning a number of activities, events and courses in the
near future such as Coffee drop-ins, Taster courses/training events,
Fun days, Information events, Social events
The Community Development Co-ordinators
