One of the essential elements of Rotary is fun. Our
service stems from the fellowship we enjoy from our membership, both
within our own club and from contact with other Rotary Clubs. We
pride ourselves in Clacton on the warm and friendly atmosphere
generated by our members, and we have acquired a good reputation in
our area for the welcome we offer visitors.
We have a very varied
social life, with an active committee who organise a wide variety of
activities, from walking, quizzes, visits to theatres, boat trips,
meals out and sporting activities from golf to snooker to badminton.
We try to cater for as many interests as possible.
Some of these
activities are also shared with other clubs in our district with
competitions between us including bizarre events such as wood louse
racing! Competitions are also arranged inter district for sports
including golf, badminton, snooker, bowls, cribbage, darts, and
dominoes, catering for all ages and physical ability.
We really do
enjoy our Rotary!
