Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival 2010

Christmas is coming to Brightlingsea on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 December 2010 with the annual Christmas Tree Festival, which is open on both days from 10am to 6pm. Hundreds of local residents will be decorating Christmas trees for the fundraising display in All Saints’ Church at the entrance to Brightlingsea.This unique thirteenth century ‘Mariners’’ church is transformed into a winter wonderland. Crowds gather to view and judge scores of skilfully and imaginatively dressed trees while a choir in the gallery adds to the atmosphere with traditional Christmas carols.  Live music, a Christmas Shop and refreshments are available on each of days.Admission is £3 for adults, £2:50 for concessions and children under 16 are free. There is a Park and Ride shuttle bus which stops outside St James’ church in Victoria Place and in the Colne Community School car park.  The bus will run in a Continuous loop from 10am to 5:15pm.  More information is available on the website.
